The following Q&A addresses the topics and issues top of mind for most patients. Please read this information thoroughly, as this will be the basis for the provider-patient relationship during your treatment at Golden Mean Health.

Missed appointments or appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee. All fees must be satisfied before an appointment may be rescheduled.

In-person appointments are preferred, as they improve the quality of the patient visit and overall health assessment. For virtual appointments, we require patients to have a quiet, private place with good internet connection. Please do not attempt to drive while having your appointment. If these meeting conditions cannot be met, then the appointment will be rescheduled.

All patients should contact their provider during normal business hours (see below) by calling the office at 910.762.2270 or through their Patient Fusion patient portal. For emergencies outside normal business hours, please seek care at your local emergency room or call the 24-hour mobile crisis hotline at 844.709.4097. 


Response times may vary, but patients can expect a response within one to two business days.

After-hours care is not provided at Golden Mean Health. For emergencies outside normal business hours, please seek care at your local emergency room or call the 24-hour mobile crisis hotline at 844.709.4097. 

For those with a Patient Fusion account, please use your patient portal to request refills. Refill requests may also be made on the Golden Mean home page under the REFILLS menu tab.

We encourage all patients to consider their medical needs, including refill requests, prior to weekends or holidays. For emergencies, please contact the office at 910.762.2270 or communicate through your Patient Fusion patient portal.

For the fastest response, please contact your provider using your Patient Fusion patient portal. If you do not have a patient portal, please complete the Clinical Concerns and Questions Form. For patients calling the office directly, please allow one to two business days for a response. Please note that leaving multiple messages in multiple areas will not make for a faster response.
